WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU PULLED AN ALL-NIGHTER?
A short (under 3-minute) video that showcases journalism-style interview(s) that you conducted, filmed and edited.
The purpose of this project was to share the story of a 24 hour create-a-thon event, hosted annually by WE Communications to benefit a number of local non-profit organizations.
I was responsible for everything from story concept to interviews (including sourcing interview subjects), filming and editing. Interview and b-roll footage was captured before, during and after the event and edited together into a final product that showcased the hard work and dedication of the team as well as some of the fun involved in pulling an all-nighter with your colleagues.
The final video was shared on social media channels and on the agency's website to raise awareness of the WE Communication's pro bono efforts.

BUILDING STRONG COMMUNITIES WITH THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF BELLEVUE
A short (under 3-minute) video project that engaged diverse audiences in a topic, project, place or issue.
This video was produced in partnership with the Boys and Girls club of Bellevue to tell the story about their long-standing relationship with WE Communications. Through sourcing a number of different interview subjects, including the Boys and Girls Club client and some of the children who attend the program, my goal was to provide insight into the importance of the organization to the community and the role that WE Communications was able to play in raising visibility of their important programs.
As with all of my video projects, I was responsible for all aspects of production including story concept, interviewing, filming and editing.
This video won the 2015 Silver Communicator Award of Distinction from The Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts.

TAKING BIG STEPS WITH LITTLE BIT
This video is a little longer than three minutes but I want to share it because it is one that I am immensely proud of and, I think, the best example of my ability to engage an interview subject to elicit a great story.
Little Bit was a Pro Bono client and I was tasked to produce a video that they could use to help with fundraising and to raise visibility of their programs in the community. All of their previous promotional videos had focused on how therapeutic riding could benefit children with disabilities. For this video, I wanted to share the story of one of Little Bit's adult clients and her journey from skepticism and fear to a life with more mobility and social interaction than her condition would otherwise have allowed.
Once again, I was responsible for all aspects of video production, including story boards, interview preparation, filming and editing.
